Well, I have got nothing better to do, since the server is down, so I thought I would post my experience here. My company is on a reseller account on Pretty for 2 months now, I will do this "review" with a plus and a minus list.
List of minuses
- Uptime is around 99% because of a major DDOS, and some kind of power installations upgrades. Unfortunately, all that I care is our client’s sites, and they were down for almost 24 hours combined together plus short outages that occur occasionally
- Today we are having downtime of more than 3 hours, we can't work, have to break our deadline, that is very frustrating. They are installing Firewall...
- Few times a week we get a short "not responding" message, this is taken care in few minutes, or it gets taken care of if you contact support
- Our IP address was three times on a blacklist, and we spent all morning figuring out why we can’t access or work on the server
- We are monitoring our site, via the host-tracker.com. This month it's 98.21%, two months combined (since coming to CirtexHosting) it's 99.18%
Getting phone calls from our clients tells us, we need more!
- Some of the staff members needs to work on English :), I mean don't get me wrong, I am not an Englishmen and that’s difficult enough, but sometimes it's funny :)
List of pluses
- We got a refund when asked for this month under the SLA agreement
- Staff is very polite
- Fast responses, live chat is always online, fast ticket responses
- They will install everything that you need for your clients
- They have all the features installed on the servers that we ever needed
- Price of the reseller packages are reasonable
- They will work till 4AM or more to get the problem fixed
- They moved 50 our sites for free on their server
Conclusion:
We moved from our previous provider because of the downtime, and didn't even gave them the chance we are to Cirtex. It is very unfortunate to us that all that our clients look at is when they can’t send their E-mails, or their site is down. Our clients don’t care about the DDOS, features on server or anything else. Our clients dictate, and we have to work accordingly. Also we are tired of moving 70 domains, and frustrated when we have to stay up till 5 AM to move everything and get things running.
I hope that me being sincere won’t affect our relationship besides our uptime.
Cheers
