Spyware

I never had spyware on my computer ever so I am wondering why so many people get spyware do they just click yes on everything?
If you don't know how to use a computer why buy one?

I've contracted spyware a few times mostly because I like to try out new software. Every now and then some little bug gets over looked during uninstall, I've never had a real virus though. In fact, I don't run virus protection because I feel confident that if there is a service running that isn't supposed to be, I'll know it.

If you use IE6 you're going to get spyware no matter what, but spyware search and destroy is a good program to use. Anyhow, I recommend Opera to Firefox to combat spyware and of course do regular scans do help, you'd be suprised how many exist on a computer but most are not too harmless.
