I am evaluating Cirtex for my Gallery and I would like to see examples of those who are using cirtex to host their Gallery2 installation. It would help me see how the performance is so post if you can.

Thanks in advance,

Justin B.

PS: I'm not sure if this is the sub-forum or not??

Hi,

I'm both a gallery and coppermine gallery user. We have quite good number of customers running both as well, along with few using 4images. Performance all depends on how large your gallery is. We have one customer that had a 500mb MySQL Database for his gallery, so obviously things slows down on his site when browsing compared to a small gallery with only few dozen photos ;)

I can't be posting URLs of customers but if they wish to share someone shall probably will reply here

Cheers

I personally think it's slow but would like an outside opinion. I only have 450 items at the moment but expect to have several thousand when finished.

I signed up here just for gallery use and got the recommendation from the Gallery forum and it seemed like a good deal.

I guess we'll see over my 30 day money back guarantee...

I know there are a few things I can disable to make it run faster but I like those features. At the moment I have Full Acceleration enabled for both guest and registered users.

Edit: Justin, I replied to your post on the Gallery forum as well.

Update: I just changed Gallery themes to Ice Theme and Gallery speed is much faster.

Thanks for the link...Your gallery does move pretty fast...about equal to the other host I am evaluating. Now my only complaint is the dns support...like you said you have to purchase the reseller account to get ready access...although I think everything will work fine...just don't have the controls at my finger tips.

Thanks again!

Certainly, the support here is fantastic so any change you need will be made in a matter of minutes.

Now that I changed to Ice from Carbon and enabled Full Acceleration, it moves along really well. I am pleased.

Agreed...I have another account with them so yes their support is very good! Which goes a long way!
