Well, since the DNS update is almost done I guess it is time to share my little home on the web with the community :)
http://www.necrotania.com
It is a Fantasy and Science Fiction writing community. I started it way back in 2001, as a place to post my own works. Over time it evolved and got a CGI back end, forum, and guest book. A database loss later and it was reloaded using eFiction and IPB 1.3 Final.
Over time it then migrated to SMF forum, using a custom coded bridge to connect the user table of SMF and eFiction together. This provided a single login for all areas of the site.
After winning a contest I went over the a vBulletin back-end, once again with a custom bridge connecting the two scripts. This is where we are today, a looong way from my simple HTML pages way back then :).
I was with my first web host since 2001, when I first made the site. Was a bit sad to have to migrate away from them, and it was a good 6 month decision, but the heath of the site is more important than my loyalty :)
So, that is my story. Glad to be a part of the community here.
