I know cirtex hosting through webhostingtalk forum. After a brief look to the hosting plan i decided to signup the basic plan as a trial. I paid on 3rd February 2007.

The account activation is fast. I can start using my hosting account from the next day. The server loading speed is above average.

It's now the 4th month of my hosting, i use HyperSpin to monitor my website and i notice there are usually a 15min downtime every 24 hours.

I use Mozilla Thunderbird as email client. It used to be fine to connect the mail server with SMTP until last month the mail server is unable to connect. I submitted a support ticket and the support respond is rapid.:)

The support person reply me with a link to a tutorial page of how to setup Thunderbird to connect to mail server. This look a bit funny to me because i have been using the Thunderbird for some time and not a newbie to it. I did mentioned to the support person that i used to able to connect the POP3 account and i had never do any setting changes. I even submit my settings as a reference. The support person reply to me said my setting is not correct but in fact that is a typo when i typing for the support ticket. :o

In order to rectify this problem, i switch to the Outlook Express to connect my POP3 account but it fail too. At the same time i use Hyperspin to monitor the mail server and the result confirmed me the mail server is not responding.

The support person said they are investigating the server and will get back to me soon. This has become an empty promise because the support ticket was closed with a reason said i do not respond to their last reply. What should i respond if soemone said he will get back to me soon? not am i should be the person who waiting for their reply?:confused:

For last, i'm still unable to connect the mail server with either Thunderbird or Outlook Express and i think another support ticket is just a waste of time.:(

I will recommend Cirtex Hosting for website with little visitors and should be prepared for the support person who cannot tackle your problem in the right way.

Please let me know your Ticket ID if your issue is still not resolved, also please try re-creating your email account inside cPanel and try connecting from different Computer/ISP as well.
