I'm going to second this request as I've run into the limitations of 4.1 a couple times now. Please have a look into the possibility to at least determine its feasibility.

Mysql 5 has been out for awhile. I haven't had the need to give it a whirl but I've read about a lot of issues people were having with it. Like anything I imagine it depends on the script. If your script don't absolutely require it and it works, why bother with the potential issues that arrise.

On the other hand if your script or program does require it I understand.

So many times have I upgraded in the home windows environment, and the internet environment, because I thought the bigger number or newer version must be better, only to find out I had more problems than what it was worth.

In some cases it worked out good, but I don't know if I have bad luck or what, more often than not it didn't work out so good for me.

There is a lot of upgrading going on with cpanel in the world of hosting the last few months and should continue into early to mid august as migration to cpanel 11 continues, if cpanel keeps on schedule that is. And most likely there will be some bugs to work out. Once that finalizes and bugs are worked out I would expect some new versions of lots of things, including apache, mysql, php, exim, perl, etc. that we will all benefit from.

Hi,

Yep we're still doing more research in this matter before releasing to our customers.
