One suggestion: set the page background image so it doesn't repeat. In CSS 2.x, it would look like the following:

background: #9933CC url(http://www.mobilealmanac.com/images/bg.png) repeat-x;

That way it'll only repeat across and not down and the #9933CC would be the matching background color to your bg.png (seamless look).

ha, yeah i've been pretty busy. i've been working on other sites and trying to finish college. but one of these days i'll get to that background!
