Okay, I've loved how there have only been some seldom problems in the past.

Unfortunately, the last 6 months have gotten rougher. From the various DDoS attacks to the massive influx of new customers and new staff, there has been more downtime. (I'm mad people/kiddies attack Cirtex servers. It causes too much disruption and other problems.)

My biggest complaint right now is that my forums are inaccessible about every 2-3 weeks. The forums usually give me the "Too Many Connections" Error or are down completely.

As usual, I wait it out for a few hours to a day. If it doesn't return to normal, I open a support ticket and it is answered within 24 hours and the problem is usually resolved in about 3 back-and-forth replies. Support, though, does not explain why it happened or gives any reassurances as to if anything is being done to prevent it in the future.

My guess is a lot of webmasters on Cirtex use the MySQL servers heavily for their websites. So the rest of us who have static pages and small active forums have issues.

Secondly, my IP is banned by the firewalls every month (almost) as is several of my forum members IPs (every few months). Not sure why my or their IPs would be banned since we do not partake in server flooding (or the like).

Baby (as if going through growing spurts) have gone down twice in the past year to my memory. I believe the second time it was down for several hours, then returned for a bit, then went down again for several hours.

Now onto more positive feedback. Support response has gotten quicker. Most tickets are answered in about 8-12 hours for me. Sometimes during very busy/troubling times, responses have taken nearly a full day.

I like how the system automatically sends me emails to remind me of my ticket status. Although, I do find it annoying that after a ticket is scheduled/picked to be closed, the system spams my mailbox with 3-6 emails within a 3 day period.

The community forums have grown quite a bit and there is a lot of knowledgeable webmasters about. :) Several are very helpful (you know who you are) and routinely go out of their way to help others in the Support section of the forum.

I also like how the staff visit the forums as well and interact with the various users on here. Another thing I like (and I'm seeing more with other hosts), is the use of the forum to post major downtimes, datacenter changes, etc.

One thing I would like to see is an automated/mass email to customers pointing them to these threads after they have been posted. I know quite a few have complained about not receiving any warning, because they were not aware these announcements are made on the forums.

In conclusion, I hope some of my above concerns/issues can be addressed (particularly the database server and IP bans). All things considered, Cirtex is rapidly growing and are doing a good job so far in my books.

If you use FTP, try not to have an FTP connection open while you connect to your website via your web browser. That usually gets my IP denied from my server for a few hours.

Im thinking of joining

Really that happens.. What the... Does this happen on virtual hosting? that would be a deal breaker for me.. Getting my IP banned from a server because I was trying to make a change to the site?
