Well cirtex hosting is by far the worst hosting company I used ever. It does not mean I they are the worst in the world but for now they are by far the worst I have seen.

I have been on baby server for a couple of months and it has been hell from the very beginning server going down every five minutes. They never fixed it.

The support is great if all you need from them is a fast response on your email or ticket, and if you don't care if the problem is fixed.

I have asked three times to get moved to another server, I still am on the same. But they do tell in the public forum responding on my posts that if I want to be moved to another server I just need to pm them. Apparently "I demand you move me to another server in 24hours" placed on the ticketing system is not clear enough?

Server has bee better for a few days with constant downtime but not that much, until today when it's down for a couple of hours. Not down "down" but reachable beyond and usefullness.

Their super extra brilliant monitoring and alerting system is unable to find that of course.

I gave up. about two weeks ago. Nothing will ever change here. Unfortunately. I had high hopes. Which you can find by browsing my posts. I even tried to help. But I see no knowledge of the people who support this place :( or any will to learn. I had to postpone launch of the site for 1 month (at least) until I find a reliable host.

So if you need a cheap hosting and you want to host a site that your business does not depend on, or you don't care if it's visible all the time, do go on. But there are more cheaper hosts for that ($3.99 even lower) I won't name names, find it yourself.

If you need a reliable host get a hell out of here. I know I am. But I got burnt here, and now before I actually move I need to be sure that the other one is not yet another cirtex hosting quality...

To support (current baby processes from user machocom :) what is that cron doing?

[removed cron processes]

I'm not putting it into a ticket. I don't care anymore what goes on on baby. It can fall down and go into dust :)

Happy New Year!

Cheers.

I have been having the same issues. I started a post in the gallery forums a while ago. Since Cirtex is one of their suggested partners, I went with them. I am on baby as well and have been having tons of issues. I just came to the forum to post my experience and struggles today and came across this post so thought I would just add on instead of creating another. My post in the gallery forums can be found here:

The last two comments are from today. I would include the insanely long ticket detailing my issues and their responses but don't need to go in to that much detail now. I'm mostly posting this here so the admin can have it as a reference in case the support desk doesn't escalate it as being a problem.

Hello there,

I am working on Baby as we speak, hope to have it more stable in the next 48-72 hours. Thanks for your patience.

Don't hold your breath..... They have been working on Smiley for 2 months now and most days it grinds to a halt.

I have not been able to access Smiley for most of the day but I see nothing on here in the way of an official response. I tried the helpdesk but they stop resonding after the usual suffering "Smiley is suffering a DOS attack and we are working on it and will put something into place to stop it happening again (Which never gets done).

I must say that I am very disappointed, I moved from 1and1.co.uk who were awful to say the least but here is fast becoming even worse.

The Cpanel is great and the features on the to package are excellent...If you can get to access them and support is very responsive and helpful, I should know I have to contact them at least once a day.

As you can tell I am very disappointed with the availibility of my website, most of the time it is so slow it is unuseable and that is when it is working... I personally know many other users with Cirtex and they all have the same experiences. I will not be recommending it to anyone else unless things improve.

As it has taken me so long to get the site up and running I will be relunctantly looking for a new host but hoping that things improve here so I will not have to move.

I think in general it is not the servers themselves but the data centers that provide their communications, if I was Cirtex I would be looking seriously at doing something about them.

You get what you pay for I suppose. :(

Hi,

I understand everyones concerns when it comes to server performance and it is our goal to serve our customers and provide quality service. Some servers will have issues in a shared environment from time to time and as a small hosting company growing everyday, we're doing our best to try and cope with our growth and our customers growth on each servers. Especially when a certain customer gets a large surge in traffic suddenly from sites such as digg or myspace, to other customers who suddenly get's flooded with emails, thus we're doing our best to facing these obstacles and fighting them.

There are countless obstacles facing a growing business and hosting businesses is definitely one of them and probably getting more small obstacles than most other businesses. I thank everyone for their understanding and continued support, and again, if you have any issues, send a PM over to me here at the forums and I'll personally look into it for ya.

Whether it is support or server issues, or if you have any feedbacks for our techs that you're unhappy with and so on.

Again, thank you for your understanding, send a PM to me or josh and we'll work to resolve your problem!

Cheers

You don't advertise yourslef as a "small company that is growing".....your advertise yourselves as dependable, with 95% uptime guaranteed. In 2 weeks or so I have had the account, I have checked it 6-7 times daily....1-2 of which my site actually exists; most of the time I get the DNS error page.

If you are small and growing, that is one thing, and people will understand. But when you advertise yourself as a well-established company with guaranteed 95% uptime--and come NOWHERE close to that--you go from the company that is getting on its feet to the company that is as full of s**t as the rest.

I don't see any "hey, we're just starting out" banners all over your main page, amongst all the guarantees of uptime and indications that you are well-established and capable of heavy loads. And, how long will you be "starting out and still growing"? there are forum posts from members who have had accounts for over a year....how long does the "we're new" excuse fly at Cirtex, anyways?

Gave it a fair shot, but rapidly grouping Cirtex with the rest...rather be on "Go Daddy" at this point.

Hi Eric,

That's understandable and we're continuing in our best to provide quality service :)

I moved hosts in the end, nice bunch of guys at Cirtex very helpful but connectivity was just unacceptable for my site nowhere near 95% I raised at least one helpdesk call everyday for 3 months, If you are developing your site online it can be very frustrating.

Perhaps OK for small html websites that do not require a good uptime, who knows in time it may get better, I will keep a watchful eye.

Best of luck Cirtex ;)
