GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There I have vented.

My situation, I have been working very hard on my new web site and I think it is looking quite well. Monday I was working right along and all of a sudden my site went down, so of course I wanted to see if there was any problem with my server. The chat was open to technical support, I would like to add here that Cirtex has the best technical support because they are always there for you, so I inquired about the server. I was told it was up and running OK. The tech then did a trace route from the server to my computer IP and it didn't complete, therefore it must be a routing problem and I should get in touch with Qwest.

I contacted Qwest Technical Support and they had me disable everything on my computer (Firewall, delete cookies, delete temp files, etc.) This didn't help so I went to bed, hoping it would fix itself in the morning. Well, It Didn't. I contacted Qwest Technical Support again today. They had me ping my server and it timed out. So they said the problem was my local machine blocking my server.

This next weekend I will have my son bring over one of his computers to see if it really is my computer. In the mean time, so I can still be working on the web site, I am going to rebuild my Joomla web site on another hosts server, that I use for one of my other web sites. I will then try to copy the files over to my Cirtex server when all of this is resolved.

There, I feel better. It is always better to get it out of your system. :top:

Have a great week,

Lee

It helps to hit the keyboard really hard too! I tend to scream & swear at mine but it just ignores me.

You should try installing a punshin bag in you office. Helps me keep keyboards, monitors and towers much longer

Hi Lee

You should first check what your IP Address is, then ask our tech to check if your IP is blocked on the server at all. If not then it could be your ISP, so try having a friend or relative try visiting your site and so on.

Best of luck! Do contact me directly here if you need some further assistance.

Cheers

Hi Critex Admin,

Like I said above when I first had the problem I got on Chat with your support to see if server Baby was having trouble. I was told it was OK.

Here is a snipet of what happened next:

Lee says:
Your IP Is 71.212.73.238
Sagar says:
i have checked i found that
Sagar says:
your ip is not blocked by the server
Sagar says:
now the problem is routing
Sagar says:
I gave traceroute from our server to your local ip
Sagar says:
it didn't complete
Sagar says:
so you will have to ask your local isp regarding your problem
Sagar says:
just ask them that you are not able to access your site hosted on the
server having ip 66.197.187.149
Sagar says:
66.197.187.149 is server ip where your site is hosted
Sagar says:
Your local Isp can resolve this issue there is no problem at server end.

End Quote.

I contacted Qwest support three different times and all three technicians told me that the problem was in my local computer.

One of the fellows that I work with told me that I should try a tracert from my computer to my web site. When I got home last night at midnight I ran a tracert adattic.com and it went to 66.197.191.82 which is Burst.net / hostnoc.net in Philadelphia and then the next 6 tries timed out.

Everybody in the World can get on my web site but me! In fact I even googled the ip for Baby and I can get on other peoples web site that is being hosted on Baby.

This has been going on since New Years day. If you have any ideas, it would really be appreciated. I am not sure where to go from here.

Have a great day,

Lee
